Hello World, a new Travel Blog! This is Us! This is our Story!

Australian Travel Blogger Andrzej Ejmont Wanderlust Storytellers

Sharing is caring!

I wanted to briefly tell our story behind Wanderlust Storytellers.  A travel blog which will be focusing on both family travel destinations as well as parent-only escapes.  To give you some insight into who we are and why we wish to share our travel stories with you all, please read our background story below.

This is our story: IMG_4518 Life has kinda always been hectic for me.  For a few years, I was juggling being a single mother to my two beautiful daughters (now 6 and 9 years old), together with working part time as a teacher at a local highschool.  If that wasn't enough, I decided to go back to uni in order to chase a dream of becoming a Counsellor.

I think you can all understand how pressured, stressed-out and draining a lifestyle like that could be. There was no time for holidays – school and uni holidays consisted of re-couperating from feelings close to being burnt-out.Travel Blog - Andrzej Ejmont

Zoom to last year!  I got to marry my soulmate, a husband that I always desired, a gorgeous new father to my beautiful two daughters.  Incredibly lucky and blessed! A new beginning for me. I love fresh starts.

I powered on, juggling my roles in life – The mother, The wife, The teacher, The uni student and it all got TOO MUCH!

A few weeks ago I sat down with my amazing husband Andrzej and told him that I just can't do it anymore; I can't live this life I created for myself, the stress is overwhelming me, I had simply had enough of struggling!  We spoke about options, what would I LIKE to do if I could choose to do ANYTHING?  Tough question, and it took me days and days of brainstorming ideas before we both came up with the idea of Wanderlust Storytellers.

Travel Blog - Andrzej EjmontThis is our change!  From a life filled with stress, were our temper fuse are short and our time for each other limited in comparison to what we desire.  This is a change from THAT lifestyle, to one where we can focus on family, travel, have time and patience for each other, create a life that we LOVE.  This change requires bravery, it requires compromises and sacrifices, it requires dedication and time.  And for now it requires me to be even BUSIER!

Reality is we can't call it quits on our life, quit our job and start living out of a suitcase like so many inspirational young individuals who travel full-time do.  That is not a realistic image for us.  Both our daughters are in primary school, they visit their dad on a regular basis – both of those are important for us to keep stable.  Therefore our brand will look different, feel different and sound different.  And it will require small steps of change.  And our first step involves saving for our first proper family holiday.

For now, our story will start at the beginning.  And the beginning of our travel blog, Wanderlust Storytellers, has to start on the honeymoon!!!  And what a perfect parent-only escape that was!!!

Can you guess where we went?  Go on, see if you can figure it out.

We hope you join us on our travel blog journey, we hope to inspire you to travel more often and show you that it is possible to travel wherever you want as a family!

I am enjoying your travel blog and videos . We live in Australia, and as my wonderful wife is from Poland (Born in Gdynia), we go to Poland almost every year. She introduced to Poland many years ago and I love the country and our extended family.
