The private thatched-roof cottages stand on stilts in the water – if you’re coming from Bangkok, the serenity is blissful.
It’s a little far from the beach, and you’ll likely find the walk too hot – but the resort offers a complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Aonang beach!
The pretty villas and saltwater pool are surrounded by coconut groves, natural streams, and a nearby cliff. It’s quite a spot!

10. The Lai Thai

This is a great hotel, but it looks more like an apartment complex.
Don’t let it put you off, though, if you’re looking for those kid-friendly bargains! They have a babysitting service, a kids club, and a splash pool.
We really like this place, because the staff is really friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable about the area!
The rooms are cleaned daily, and they all have their own huge living area with plenty of space – and a fully fitted kitchen!
We suggest you give the restaurant a miss though – it’s a bit overpriced, and there are so many great options in the area!
Why you will love this resort?
- The rooms are made up daily, which is really handy when your kids are a messy bunch
- The balconies are lovely and large
- The pool and gym are both brilliant
